About Timertok
Timertok is a kitchen timer for getting doneness right: pick the food, tap the doneness from a picture and start. It is made by Zigglabs, an app studio from Brazil.
Who writes the Timertok guides?
Equipe Timertok, the Zigglabs team that builds the app. Every guide follows the same rule: a fact without a reliable source does not go in. Before publishing, we open each source and check the number against the original text. If a source only applies to another country, the guide says so.

Equipe Timertok
The guides on this site are written and reviewed by Equipe Timertok (Portuguese for “the Timertok team”), the Zigglabs team that builds the app. Our rule is simple: a fact without a reliable source doesn’t go in, on the site or in the app.
Before publishing, we open every source and check the number against the original text. If a source won’t open, we don’t use it. If a source only applies to another country, we say so.
Where our facts come from
We use three kinds of sources, in this order of preference:
- Government agencies such as the FDA, USDA, USGS and Brazil’s Inmetro and Ministry of Health.
- University extension services such as Iowa State, Wisconsin–Madison, Nebraska, Penn State and Colorado State.
- Test kitchens with a published method, such as America’s Test Kitchen.

What Timertok doesn’t do
Timertok isn’t a recipe app and doesn’t use AI to make up cooking times. It has no ads and needs no account. It keeps time and tells you when it’s done.
